Why do my gums bleed?
Bleeding gums can be a sign that the gums are not as healthy as they should be. Try brushing twice a day with a fluoride toothpaste, and take care to also brush your gums gently. Cleaning between the teeth is also important using little brushes or floss. You should be assessed by your dentist or hygienist to see it there is any other cause for the bleeding and they can advise you on the best way to bring your gums into the peak of health!
What causes bad breath?
Bad breath can be due to a number of reasons, for example diet or smoking. Quite commonly bad breath is caused by a decayed or broken tooth that is trapping food and causing increased bacteria in your mouth. This can usually be easily fixed by your dentist and if you are aware of a bad smell or bad taste from your mouth, it is best to get it checked by your dentist.
Why are my teeth dark?
The good life! Red wine, coffee and tea all stain our teeth, and sometimes the staining can affect your smile and your confidence. This can easily and safely be improved by professional cleaning of the teeth or tooth whitening. To be assessed and advised on what treatment would suit you best you can book a free consultation with our treatment coordinator, or phone the practice for more advice.
